MIAMI — The prestigious Inman Innovator Awards recently named the MIAMI Association of REALTORS® (MIAMI) as the 2024 Most Innovative Organization/MLS in the U.S. for its forward-thinking initiatives in helping its 60,000 real estate professionals better serve their clients.

The Inman Innovator Awards, which annually receives more than 300 nominees, selected 10 finalists for Top MLS, Association or Industry Association. Liz Sturrock, MIAMI REALTORS® Chief of MLS & Innovation, accepted the top award for the association on Aug. 1 at Inman Connect Las Vegas.

- First real estate association to create YPN (Young Professionals Network) Global, which hosted two YPN Global Congresses on two continents this year: 27-29, 2024 in Dubai, UAE and June 20-21, 2024 in Valencia, Spain.
- With 260 partnerships with real estate associations in 75 countries, our award-winning MIAMI Global Council is the world’s largest and most successful international council.
- Our Global Council annually hosts the MIAMI Global Real Estate Congress, which brings together delegates from 20+ foreign countries. In November 2024, we will host our 27th MIAMI Global Real Estate Congress at our new global headquarters.
- Our new global headquarters, opening in June 2024, is a modern marvel with 37,000 square feet of Class A office and conferencing space, a 200- to-300-person state-of-the-art conference center, a 50-person computer lab, and an 80-person classroom.
- Taking a proactive approach to affordable housing, MIAMI converted two shipping containers into an affordable housing unit in South Miami and sold it to a buyer at 80% of the area median income. The award-winning NAR pilot program showcased new ways for our community to address workforce housing while also illustrating the barriers to construction and affordability.
- In a monumental step for our industry, MIAMI REALTORS® SEFMLS partnered with five top MLSs: CRMLS in California, REcolorado, REALCOMP in Michigan, FMLS in Georgia, and OmniMLS in Mexico to provide our collective membership of 282,000+ access to each other’s MLS listings. Through IntraMatrix, we are expanding listing reach and creating referral business.
- MIAMI is home to the first Commercial MLS in the nation, a progressive suite of commercial products and a newly updated MIAMI Commercial Certificate Program that is preparing the next generation of commercial practitioners.
- MIAMI is the first association in Florida and the East Coast to introduce a generative AI assistant to its members, and we are poised to lead the charge in integrating cutting-edge technology into the real estate sector.
- We’ve hired our first Chief Economist, and her reports position our members as market experts and our association as the go-to-data source.
- We launched and expanded our MIAMI brand Ambassadors program over our five boards to build new leaders.
