MIAMI — Over 450 delegates from 31 foreign countries are participating at the 73rd FIABCI World Real Estate Congress this week at the Nobu Eden Roc Hotel in Miami Beach. Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush and dozens of other world-class speakers will make presentations as the Congress is held in Miami for the first time with host the MIAMI Association of REALTORS® (MIAMI), the first time a local Realtor association has ever served as host.

“The world has come to Miami for one of the world’s most important global real estate conferences,” MIAMI CEO Teresa King Kinney said. “We are excited to host over 450 global real estate professionals representing all professions of the real estate industry. From the world-class speakers to the highly anticipated Prix d’Excellence Awards to luxury property tours to the business networking opportunities to the social tours of Miami’s iconic venues; Congress attendees will experience the best Miami has to offer.”

As the event’s host, MIAMI REALTORS® has assembled 50 world-class speakers who will present on myriad topics including foreign investment trends, sustainable architecture, iconic brands, crypto/blockchain, adaptive reuse, AI and more.

Bush, the 43rd Governor of the State of Florida, is the Congress’ keynote speaker. 2022 MIAMI Chairman Fernando Arencibia, Jr. will moderate a discussion with Bush on how the global real estate industry can build a better world together. Other notable speakers include: Chief White House Correspondent Mike Emanuel; Association of Foreign Investors in Real Estate (AFIRE) CEO Gunnar Branson; author of 24-hour Cities Hugh Kelly; notable architects such as Luca Bigliardi of PRINCIPIOATTIVO Architecture Group, Amanda Bonvecchio of Vagabond Group, Ivo Fernandez of Modis Architects, Kurt Dannwolf, ODP Architects; brokers such as Rei Mesa of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services, Mike Pappas of the Keyes Company and Jay Philip Parker of Douglas Eliman; Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine-Cava; developers such as Edgardo Defortuna of Fortune International; Dev Motwani of Merrimac Ventures; David Martin of Terra Group and Camilo Miguel of Mast Capital.

Prix d’Excellence Awards known as the “Oscars of Real Estate”

In addition to the high-level speakers, the Congress will feature the highly anticipated Prix d’Excellence Awards known as the “Oscars of Real Estate.” The international awards will honor the world’s best projects designed for sustainability and resiliency. Delegates will also participate in the historic black-tie FIABCI Medal Holders Dinner and social tours of Miami’s iconic neighborhoods, venues, attractions and more.

Delegates from the following countries are participating at this week’s conference: Andorra, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Belgium, Canada, Colombia, Czech Republic, France, Georgia, Germany, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Nigeria, Norway, Panama, Philippines, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, United Arab Emirates and Venezuela.

Six of the world’s seven continents are represented except for Antarctica.

Founded in 1951 in Paris, FIABCI is a worldwide business networking organization that represents all professions of the real estate industry: architects, developers, constructors, investors, brokers, asset and property managers, academic and many other experts.
