Providing real estate customers with the same level of service and experience requires a conscious effort. Good intentions are not good enough. A clear understanding of fair housing laws and how biases can affect their implementation is a step forward toward a more inclusive experience.
REAL ESTATE SCHOOL OBJECTIVES:
– Identify federal laws related to equal protection in housing.
– Recognize risky business practices that could lead to fair housing violations.
– Identify fair housing violations from different real estate scenarios
– Define the concept of unconscious bias and how it can lead to discrimination.
– Identify possible microaggression attitudes.
– Establish goals to expand homeownership opportunities.
