MIAMI — MIAMI Association of Realtors Commercial (MIAMI Commercial) will bring together more than 15 national experts to explore how South Florida’s new-to-market companies, new technology, new transportation, and more are fueling its unprecedented commercial market transformation at its 22nd annual Commercial Conference at 8:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 7 at The Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables.

“From new-to-market companies to blockchain title concepts, investing in sustainable building practices for higher returns to affordable housing through adaptive reuse, South Florida commercial real estate is a market leader in innovation,” MIAMI Commercial President Michael Hinton said. “Our best-in-class speakers makes this a must-attend event for anyone looking to leverage the rapidly evolving changes that are reshaping the future of Miami commercial real estate.”

The MIAMI Commercial Conference will feature a highly anticipated CEO roundtable with two companies that have recently relocated to Miami (Azamara and CourMed) and one expanding local business (Half Moon Empanadas).

Azamara, an upmarket cruise line, opened its new global corporate headquarters in Coconut Grove in February 2022. Texas-based CourMed, a concierge health care services delivery company, opened a regional office in Miami Beach in November 2021. Miami-based Half Moon Empanadas expanded with its 12th location in Pembroke Pines last year.

Other conference highlights include panels on “Blockchain: real or imagined, navigating the new commercial transaction;” “Transportation: moving Miami forward;” a conversation between Hinton and National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) Chief Economist Lawrence Yun; an environment, sustainability, and resilience panel; and an affordable/workforce housing from the perspective of adaptive reuse panel.
