MIAMI — The MIAMI Association of REALTORS® (MIAMI) has been named a 2024 Top South Florida Workplace by the South Florida Sun Sentinel. MIAMI’s work culture, which prioritizes employee appreciation and innovation, fuels MIAMI to provide industry-leading service to our 60,000 members as they serve home buyers and sellers in South Florida.

“Our MIAMI professionals are empowered to make impactful decisions to help our members thrive,” MIAMI CEO Teresa King Kinney said. “We have fostered a family, all-inclusive atmosphere here. Some of our best ideas to help our members come from our MIAMI professionals and we are always swift to put those great ideas into action.”

This is the 10th year the Sun Sentinel has partnered with Energage, an employee survey company based in Exton, Pennsylvania, to celebrate exceptional workplaces. MIAMI ranked No. 6 in South Florida in the small employer’s category or workplaces with fewer than 125 employees.

“Earning a Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor for companies, especially because it comes authentically from their employees,” said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO. “That’s something to be proud of. In today’s market, leaders must ensure they’re allowing employees to have a voice and be heard. That’s paramount. Top Workplaces do this, and it pays dividends.”

MIAMI’s Award-Winning Work Culture

The heart of the Top Workplaces award is the employee survey process. Energage administers a 24-question survey to employees, who are the sole deciders of whether a company culture merits recognition.

MIAMI professionals recognized the association’s strengths in myriad key areas:

  • Employees feel well-informed about important decisions.
  • Employees have confidence in their CEO.
  • Employees feel managers care about their concerns and help them learn, grow, and succeed.
  • Employees believe MIAMI operates by strong values.
  • Employees believe MIAMI encourages different points of view.
  • Employees’ jobs make them feel like they are part of something meaningful.
  • Employees believe senior managers know what is really happening at the association.
  • Employees believe new ideas are encouraged at the association.
  • Employees feel genuinely appreciated.
  • Employees believe there is good interdepartmental cooperation.
  • Employees believe MIAMI is going in the right direction.

Employers earn Top Workplaces recognition if their aggregated employees’ feedback score exceeds national benchmarks. Energage has established those benchmarks based on feedback from more than 27 million employees over 18 years.
