MIAMI Leader Elected District Vice President of Florida Realtors

Teresita “Terri” Bersach, managing broker, Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate in Weston, has been elected District 4 vice president of Florida Realtors®, the state’s largest professional association. Bersach, who was installed earlier this year in Orlando, will serve her fellow professionals in District 4, which encompasses Miami-Dade County and the Florida Keys.

A leader in regional, state and national real estate organizations, Bersach was 2011 president of the Broward Board of Governors of the Miami Association of Realtors, and 2010 chairman of the former Realtor Association of Greater Miami and the Beaches. She has been a director of Florida Realtors and of the National Association of Realtors® (NAR) and has served on NAR’s finance and lending and global alliances committees.

As district vice president for the state association, Bersach will focus on delivering Florida Realtors services and support to the area’s real estate professionals, including the Florida Realtors scholarship programs. She will also, in conjunction with the local associations, provide leadership for the District IV Conference on June 7-9.

Bersach, who has been in real estate since 1994, quickly reached the levels of production that helped her transition into management in 1998. She has been integrally involved in managing the career development of more than 300 sales associates. She is also a director for Florida Realtors and for the National Association of Realtors. She currently serves on the Conventional Finance and Lending Committee for NAR and the Public Policy and Executive Committee for Florida Realtors.

Bersach received an associate of arts degree from Miami-Dade College and obtained higher education in the field of psychology at Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Tennessee, and Belhaven College in Jackson, Mississippi. Her designations include the Council of Real Estate Brokerage Managers, the Certified Residential Specialist, the Certified International Property Specialist, and the Short Sale and Foreclosure Designation. She also holds the Transnational Referral Certification.

Bersach has lived in South Florida since 1973. She has been married to Manny Bersach for 30 years, and they have three grown children.
