MIAMI REALTORS® Launching Homestead Letters; 10th Set of Letters to Benefit South Florida

MIAMI — The MIAMI Association of REALTORS® (MIAMI), in collaboration with the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) and the City of Homestead, proudly announces the unveiling of the Homestead Letters, scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12 at Homestead City Hall. This is the 10th set of letters MIAMI has built in the last three years to benefit South Florida communities using NAR grant money.

“Realtors are the heart of the community because we live here, work here, and care deeply about the people and places that make our cities thrive,” MIAMI REALTORS® Chairman Eddie Blanco said. “These placemaking grants that build more community pride is just an example of how MIAMI REALTORS® are making South Florida an even better place to live.”

MIAMI REALTORS® Changing Communities One Project at a Time

Through NAR’s mega board grant program, MIAMI REALTORS® use NAR grant money to improve South Florida communities one project at a time. Grants are awarded via placemaking, better block, fair housing, housing opportunity and diversity and inclusion.

MIAMI REALTORS® has invested more than $618,000 in South Florida communities since 2017. MIAMI has led 57+ community projects since 2017. In addition to letters, MIAMI has used grant money to create local dog agility parks, sensory learning gardens, hydration stations, bus shelters, exercise circuits, hiking trails, tiki huts and more.

Four-foot tall, Instagram-ready letters featuring “Homestead” will be the source of community promotion, pride and engagement. MIAMI has launched letters for the following cities with more on the way: Miami Gardens, Miami, Doral, Sweetwater, Miami Springs, Jupiter, Miami Lakes, Coral Gables and Hialeah.

This project, secured by MIAMI REALTORS® through a Placemaking Grant funded by the National Association of REALTORS®, is a shining example of civic pride and strategic investment in public spaces. These grants empower state and local REALTOR® associations to lead projects that convert underused or neglected spaces into vibrant community destinations. By revitalizing these areas, the program aims to foster stronger community ties, enhance relationships with local government, and spur economic development.

The event is free and open to the public. Media are encouraged to attend.
