Zoom: Hometown Hero Program – Overview

This 1-hour presentation is an overview session only.  It will explain the Hometown Hero Housing Program.  It does not cover the Affordable Housing 3 CE class that is a requirement to work with the program (that class is on August 9th).  Any Florida licensee can work with Florida Housing by mandatory 3 CE class.  

The Hometown Hero Housing Program “HHHP” is a new revolving, zero-interest loan program designed to help the state’s essential workers with down payments and closing costs. Administered by the Florida Housing Finance Corporation (FHFC), the HHHP provides as much as 5% of the first mortgage loan amount up to $25,000.


The program is available to more than 50 occupations and has income and purchase price limits. It began accepting applications on June 1, 2022.  The Florida Housing Finance Corporation (FHFC) – or just “Florida Housing” – oversees the program.
