South Florida Housing Assistance Programs
Homeownership Brings Stability and Social Benefits to Communities
Homeownership can bring stability to families and offer social benefits to communities. That’s why the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Florida Legislature (administered by the Florida Housing Finance Corporation) provide funds to many local governments to develop housing assistance programs with flexibility to determine what’s best for their communities. Most of these funds are available to first-time homebuyers or persons who have not owned a primary residence in the past three years based on income eligibility guidelines; however, sometimes there are exceptions to these rules due to natural disasters, line of work or social changes, such as divorce.
With so many programs, terms and guidelines to follow, we understand how this process may seem overwhelming. That’s why MIAMI Realtors has dedicated this page to simplify the process by complying a list of programs in South Florida for you. Please use the drop down feature to click on a program and our site will redirect you to that program’s website for more information. Make sure to review each program individually and contact the program’s administrator with any questions.
