Whether you’re just watching over a few of your customer’s properties, or you’d like to jump into the business with both feet, we welcome you to this class. Residential property management runs the gamut from sole practitioners with a few accounts to large national firms with over 100,000 units under management. It’s a rigorous business, with exacting requirements. It’s a business that requires the utmost in competence, integrity, and financial management skills. It also requires you to deal successfully with a wide range of people and cultures. Throughout this course, we’ll be covering a number of topics including the requirements to get into the business, the skills you’ll need, the legal environment surrounding our business and residential occupancies. We will discuss methods of attracting both owners and residents, the economics of pricing for your services, accounting concepts and requirements, and the eviction process when things don’t work out on the tenant end. We’ll discuss the two primary leases and a myriad of forms you’ll need in your day to day operation. As important as all this , your questions and participation will really make this program as beneficial as possible.
