RENE: Real Estate Negotiation Expert Certification

April 14-15 from 9am to 5pm 

$99 for Members / $129 for Non-Members

Instructor: Lee Barret

Lee is a member of a family-owned Las Vegas Real Estate Business and is a Las Vegas native.  He received his real estate license in 1977 and is a second-generation Broker/President of Barrett & Co. Inc.  Lee teaches with humor and knowledge of today’s market complexities.

Lee has the following REALTOR designations: ABR, ABRM, CRB, CRS, RRG, SRES, CDPE, and MCNE.  He is approved by NAR as an ABR, CRB instructor and as an “At Home with Diversity” (AWHD)  instructor, and also a Senior CRS instructor.

Lee has served the Greater Las Vegas Association of REALTORS as the 2004 Board President and as a National Senior CRS Instructor.  He serves the community as a member of the Board of Directors for the Ronald McDonald House Charities.

This course is an elective for ABR, CRB, and SRS.

The RENE Certification Course is an interactive experience to help negotiators elevate their game!  The course examines all types of negotiation formats and methods so that today’s negotiators can play the game to win.  A full spectrum of tips, tools, techniques, and advantages will be provided so that negotiators can provide effective results for their clients.  RENE also includes a variety of real-world negotiations to help students apply the power tools, techniques and tactics learned in the course.  Understanding the tactics and techniques is one thing, but learning how to recognize them being done and using them effectively requires practice.  The exercises and field simulations provide the foundational experience and practice negotiators need to master so they can effectively advocate for their clients.

The Power Negotiator’s Playbook is:
  • in preparation
  • being open to options
  • knowing how to effectively work with tradeoffs
  • knowing how to compromise without giving essential components away
  • and reaching a resolution that your client can find acceptable
A “win-win” objective is merely a perception.  Power comes from leveraging your options and alternatives so that the client has the best possible choices to consider and knows what the downside could be for each choice presented.

Three simple requirements to earn your RENE Certification
  • Complete the course
  • Maintain active REALTOR membership
  • Submit the $159 one-time credentialing fee.  There are NO annual dues!
