MIAMI
--- The Jupiter-Tequesta-Hobe Sound Council of the MIAMI Association of Realtors (JTHS-MIAMI) added a dog hydration station at Jupiter’s new Cinquez Park last year. JTHS-MIAMI is proud to contribute to what has become another successful and popular community park in Palm Beach County.

Community parks strength the community, enhance property values, promote child development, boost social interaction and encourage fitness.

The new 13-acre Cinquez Park on Jupiter’s Indiantown Road opened in October 2018. The hydration station promotes more community members, especially dog owners, to activate the new park and take advantage of all its benefits (fitness, social interaction, child development, etc.). Approximately 44% of all households in the United States have a dog.

JTHS-MIAMI, which seeks to serve, unify and lead residential members in Palm Beach and Martin Counties, is honored to participate in furthering the impact of the new Cinquez Park.

Besides Cinques Park’s dog park (which includes separate areas for big dogs and little dogs), the $3 million park has a playground, treehouse, natural area and walking paths for people.

Dogs are required to be on a leash when they are in dog parks in Jupiter. Once the dogs enter the fence-in areas designated for dogs, they can taken off their leash.

Cinquez Park includes a 2-acre wetlands areas and will have about 70 parking spaces.

Cinquez Park is free and open to the public. The park is scheduled to be open daily from 7:30 a.m. to sunset.

Miami Realtors Changing Communities Initiative
In 2018, MIAMI Realtors invested more than $175,000 in grant funds from the National Association of Realtors (NAR) to improve our South Florida communities.

Through member engagement and feedback, MIAMI developed a list of local community projects that could have the most impact. MIAMI invited its 46,000-plus membership for a brainstorming session and more than 200 members contributed ideas and volunteered to help.

In 2018, MIAMI led more than 18 local community initiatives, including a dinner for the homeless at Chapman Partnership in Miami, partnering to install a Jupiter dog park, creating a shaded Doral trolley stop and more. Each project was led by the Realtor who proposed it and supported by a team of fellow Realtor volunteers and a Realtor partner (usually an elected official).

More MIAMI Realtors Changing Communities initiatives are planned for 2019.
